About:
The British Warmblood Breeders Studbook was established in 1977, with the aim of promoting the breeding of quality sport warmbloods within the UK. The goal is to have a stock of British-born sport warmbloods, fit for competitions in international levels, for both British and non-British riders.
Breeding:
In order to ensure the constant improvement of the British Warmbloods, the British Warmblood has an open studbook which allows incorporation of bloodlines from other sport warmblood associations, especially European ones, that are recognized by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses. Crossing with Thoroughbreds is also allowed.
