The Croatian Coldblood is a heavy draft breed from Croatia. It is one of the few draft breeds in the world that come in tobiano.

About:
The breed was created in the 19th century by crossing native warmblood mares with imported heavy draft stallions, namely of the breeds Ardennais, Percheron, and Brabant (Heavy Belgian Draft). It soon gained popularity as a farm horse, and although it is no longer used for this purpose nowadays it is still the most widespread breed in Croatia.

Conformation:
Croatian Coldbloods have a broad head of medium length with a straight or slightly convex profile, a long, high-set muscular neck, a deep back which is also longer than usually seen in draft horses, a sloping, double croup, and large hooves.

The mane and tail grow thick and coarse, and can be wavy. The legs have light feathering along the back of the cannons.

Coats & Height:
Colors: usually bay or brown, and more rarely black, chestnut, or grey.

Additionals: flaxen, mealy, sooty, roan, tobiano, dark mane & tail, grey mane & tail.

Markings: are rare but range from a little star to a wide stripe on the face. Leg markings are extremely rare, but occur.
Breeding notes: in Horse Isle, Croatian Coldbloods can have either only facial markings or only leg markings (they don't have them together). Horses will be penalized for shoring too numerous or too extensive markings.

Height: the average height range of Croatian Coldbloods is 15.3hh to 16.1hh. Since it is the average and some horses are above or under, then in Horse Isle the height range for this breed is 15.2hh to 16.2hh.
