The New Silesian is a subtype of the Silesian. It was first created by crossing Silesian horses with Thoroughbreds during the 1960s. As such, it is more athletic than the Old Silesian.

New Silesians come in the colors of brown, black, dark bay (termed as 'brown' in Horse Isle,) and, in rare cases, grey. They often have white markings, but not pinto ones. New Silesians stand between 16hh and 16.3hh.

For more info see the 'Silesian.'
