The Pintabian Breeding Stock is any non-tobiano foal that was born to two Pintabian parents or to a Pintabian horse crossed with an Arabian horse.

The non-tobiano 'Pintabian':
Pintabians always come in tobiano. The problem with tobiano is that it is a dominant pattern, meaning that heterozygous Pintabians (Tobiano Toto) also have a tobiano coat. When you cross two such Pintabians, you have a 25% chance of getting a non-tobiano foal.

Non-tobiano foals are ineligible for registration as Pintabians, but they are eligible for registration as breeding stock for Pintabians. By crossing a homozygous (ToTo) Pintabian with a non-tobiano Pintabian Breeding Stock, you are guaranteed to get a heterozygous (Toto), tobiano, Pintabian foal.

Breeding:
Non-tobiano Pintabians are only eligible for 'identification registration,' meaning that they are only allowed to be crossed with tobiano Pintabians. If their foal is non-tobiano, it will also be registered as breeding stock. However, crossing two 'breeding stock' foals will result in a grade foal.

Conformation:
Identical to a regular Pintabian and to a regular Arabian horse.

Additionals: flaxen, linebacked, rabicano, sooty, all rare patterns. The coat can be solid or sabino, but is never tobiano.
