The Quarcheron is a cross between an American Quarter Horse and a Percheron.

Breeding:
While crosses between Quarter horses and Percherons very much exist in the real world, they are not officially named 'Quarcherons' and don't have an official registry dedicated just for them.

In Horse Isle, Quarcherons must have 50% Quarter blood and 50% Percheron blood. Therefore, the only way to create and breed them is by either crossing an American Quarter Horse with a Percheron, or by breeding two Quarcherons.

Crossing a Quarcheron with anything that is not a Quarcheron -- including an American Quarter Horse or a Percheron -- will result in a grade foal.

Conformation:
Real 'Quarcherons' doesn't have an official breed standard, and can vary greatly in their conformation. Some will look more like their Quarter parent while others will resemble a Percheron.

In Horse Isle, however, Quarcherons look like heavy Quarter Horses and are designed to be strong all-rounders. They have the overall frame of a Quarter horse -- with their neck held low and their hindquarters being very muscular -- but they grow wider and taller. They also have thicker necks and legs, and larger hooves.

The mane and tails can be anywhere from short to long, while the legs might have light feathering or lack feathering altogether.

Breeding tips:
The breed standard for the Quarcheron is more lenient compared to other breeds, to accommodate for the vast conformation differences between the Quarter Horse and the Percheron. It is so lenient, that it allows Quarcherons reach 18hh.

That said, breeders will be wise to use shorter, smaller Percherons as breeding stock rather than humongous ones (e.g. those that are 18hh or taller) to avoid size-related penalties. They should also stick with Percherons who hold their necks relatively low to avoid most neck-related penalties.

Performance metrics:
The following are the: range, average, (SD), and MOE of performance metrics of ordered Quarcherons in Horse Isle (not bred ones). In rare cases, horses might have metrics outside of the range. Breeders can produce horses that are beyond this range.
