About the Ranch Nokota:
As their name suggests, Ranch Nokotas were originally bred to serve as ranch horses. They were created during the 19th century and the early 20th century, when Nokota horses were crossed with horses of various breeds, mostly with Thoroughbred and draft horses.
Ranch Nokotas are taller and have a more athletic built that traditional Nokotas. Today, they serve for recreational riding where they perform well in Western and English disciplines, as well as in endurance riding and trekking.
