The Saqlawi (also 'Siglavi', 'Seglawi') is a desert strain of the Arabian horse, which was developed thousands of years ago by the Bedouin tribes.

Saqlawi Arabians are considered as the strain with the most delicate and beautiful conformation, thanks to their slender build and their tendency to hold their tails higher, and to arch their necks even more, than other desert-bred Arabian strains. These, are in accordance with their fluent gaits and their "showy" personality.

Colors: usually chestnut, bay, or grey. More rarely dark-bay (brown) or dominant white.

Additionals: flaxen, rabicano, sooty, white-spotted, all rare patterns.

Height: 14hh to 15hh, with most horses being around 14.2hh.
