The Welara Sport Pony is a subtype of the Welara Pony, and is created by crossing a Welara Pony with a pony or a horse of another breed, usually a Thoroughbred or a warmblood sport horse. The aim of this cross is to generate a Welara pony with better jumping abilities.
There are no color restrictions for this breed, which means that it can come in all colors and coat patterns that exist within sport breeds (in HI3 this means hot-blooded breeds, sport warmbloods, and sport ponies). In addition, while there are no official height limits for this breed, in Horse Isle Welara Sport Ponies stand between 12hh and 16hh.
(See the 'Welara' for more info about Welara ponies.)
